Tutorial 1: Searching for Prospects

Congratulations on taking the first step towards better sales prospecting! We’ve spent a lot of time designing the interface to be intuitive and easy to use, but just in case you need a little help to get started, here’s a quick guide to get you up and running:

First, click on the hamburger icon in the top leftmost part of your screen – this will open the Search & Filter Panel. Click on them again to make it go away. The Search & Filter panel is available from every screen in the app by clicking on the hamburger.

Now click on the “plus” icon to see the various options within each filter category. Clicking on it will collapse each category. To select a particular industry or technology, just start typing in the filter input field and our predictive search functionality will kick in, giving you suggestions. You can also make a selection by clicking on the drop-down list that appears automatically.

One of PerfectLeads’ unique features is the ability to search for companies that DO NOT use a particular technology. To take advantage of this, simply click on the tag when it’s in the input field… you’ll notice it toggles to an inverted color version of the same tag. This means that the filter is set to look for the case where a company “doesn’t use” the technology in question. Go ahead, try it.

To remove a filter selection, simply delete it from the input field. It’s that easy!

Finally, it’s important to note that PerfectLeads is best experienced in Google’s Chrome Browser so your can user our custom built extension for LinkedIn. You should install it this before going any further by clicking here. Don’t worry, we’ll explain how to use it later.

Congrats on finishing your first PerfectLeads tutorial. Now you’re ready to start building a list of potential prospects. But first, you need to learn about how to use our LinkedIn extension for Google Chrome.
